NeuView Glass for PTSD

YOU HAVE PTSD

When you have PTSD you no longer trust in your ability to regulate your thoughts and emotions. They go where they will and carry you along with them. You’re at their mercy — the recurring thoughts, the flashbacks. It’s scary and depressing.

You need to restore this self-regulatory ability. You need to get back a sense of control, and you need to do so ASAP.

And of course, when trying to get help with your PTSD, nothing seems like it’s going to happen soon, so it’s easy to fall into a state of despair. You’re in need of help right now!

Fortunately, help is available and you can access it now.

72_4834NeuView Glasses provide a way for you to immediately begin to restore your self-regulatory ability. The glasses help reduce your fear and anxiety, and can often start to do so within a few minutes. They provide a safe, immediate, and non-pharma way to optimize your brain’s ability to “sort out the real from the imagined threats” too often experienced with PTSD.

NeuView Glasses are a self-help tool based on the research of Dr. Fredric Schiffer, a leading neuroresearcher at Harvard Medical School endorsed by mental health professionals in the U.S. and abroad. Our own clinical experience using the glasses over the past fifteen years has further confirmed the research findings.

WHAT ARE NEUVIEW GLASSES AND HOW CAN THEY HELP YOU?

NeuView Glasses are a specially designed U.S. patented pair of sunglasses with wraparound lenses with side sections that can be raised to let in more light on one side or the other. When we allow more light in from the side the result is increased stimulation of that side of the brain opposite the light source. For example, when the right side window is raised, the left-brain is stimulated. When we raise the left-side window we will stimulate the right side of the brain.

How will this increased brain stimulation help you?

For a person with PTSD, their ability to accurately perceive and process reality has been compromised. Neuroscientists are increasingly concluding this is a direct result of impaired inter-hemispheric connectivity. The normal back and forth flow of information from one side of the brain to the other has been disrupted.

However, when we are able to stimulate our brain we increase neuronal activity that, in turn, results in an improved ability to create connections neuron to neuron, and hemisphere to hemisphere.

Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, a world authority on trauma states:

“Trauma has nothing to do whatsoever with cognition. It has to do with your body being “reset” to interpret the world as a dangerous place. It is not something you can talk yourself out of.”

No, you’re not going to be able to “talk” yourself, or for that matter, “will” yourself out of trauma.

So, what can you do?

The Road Back To Safety – Restoring Self-Regulation

You can feel safe again. And you can restore your ability to regulate how you think and feel. It will require a conscious effort on your part, and it’s not something that will happen overnight.

It will take some conscious effort on your part, but your brain will help you out. While we’re not robots, we are designed to repair ourselves and to restore a sense of well-being. NeuView Glasses were designed to help you do just that.

They provide the means whereby you can directly, safely and immediately enhance your brain’s inter-hemispheric connection and restore your ability to perceive and process accurately.

When both sides of the brain are effectively communicating with one another we have the optimal sense of our reality. This optimal sense comes from a collaboration of our thoughts and our feelings — neither by itself can give us an accurate picture of what’s going on.

(Q) If the glasses are working at optimizing my brain’s ability, what’s the work I have to do?

(A) You have to use them.

As we’ve said, trauma disrupts the flow of information from one side of our brain to the other. We can get stuck in the negative beliefs of: “I’ll never be safe again.” — “I don’t deserve to feel good.” — “It’s all my fault.”

When negative feelings move upon you, reflect, and recognize the danger of feeding those feelings and keeping them alive.”

—Bryant McGill

72_4896We need to be able to shift out of this negative and unrealistic view of ourselves. We need to get an accurate read of what “has” happened and what “is” happening, and we need to do so now. Staying in a negative mind state depletes us. Shifting to a positive mind state is empowering.

You can make the conscious effort to break out of this negative looping. You need to pick up the glasses, put them on, and stop “feeding those negative thoughts and feelings.”

Sometimes you’ll be able to experience a shift out of the negative into a more positive feeling within a minute or less, at other times it may take several minutes. By repeatedly breaking the negative thought cycle you are strengthening new neural networks that can change your brain and your experience of your life.

NeuView Glasses are both “mood shifters” and “thought sharpeners.”

Think of NeuView Glasses as your buddy in your pocket. Our best buddies are those who help us put things in perspective and help us stay connected with our best and capable selves, and are there for us in times of need.
